Spiritual War in Japan

The incident happened on June 3, 2013. I still don’t forget that day. Black rain was falling outside the window of the counseling office.

The young mother said anxiously, “I’ve had an evil spirit inside since I was a child.” The Christian client used the word “evil spirit” for the first time.

While I was thinking about the meaning, her face suddenly turned into a devilish face. And she started talking in a thick man’s voice, “I do not give you this woman,” and “I’ll kill you if you take my woman,” The voice sounded as if it could be heard from the bottom of the earth.

I was too confused to respond properly. That counseling session eventually ended in awkward silence.

The client, a daughter of pastor, came back as scheduled the next week. As soon as she sat in the chair, she stared into space in a dazed state, and the evil spirit slowly appeared.

The demon said in arrogant manners, “You do not know I am God,” and “I have power to control the world.” Only her mouth was speaking on her blank face.

The evil spirit was invisible to the eye. All I could see was the body of the woman. In my observation, the evil spirit was a spiritual being with his own thought and will.

I stopped talking with the demon after three sessions. A friend of mine, a Canadian missionary, advised me not to talk with evil spirits. He said it was harmful to my mind. He was right. In fact, I began feeling a weird sensation of suffocating, choking, and isolation.

Do the evil spirits exist in the world? My belief was that the evil spirits existed in the days of Jesus Christ. But such evil spirits had gone away after the Bible was completed over 2000 years ago. It was hardly imaginable that the demons exist in a modern society like Japan.

Being puzzled by the bizarre experience, I decided to investigate the existence of evil spirits of my clients. I wanted to know what was going on.
