Shinto emphasizes external appearance. The image of beauty and purity is the core value of the ancient religion.
However, beauty is not the true identity of the traditional religion. Shinto sometimes shows a dirty face behind people, especially when people are not watching carefully.
Shinto worship includes a worship of human genitals, both penis and vagina. In local areas, penis is worshipped more often than vagina.
Christians do not worship a genital. Unlike Shinto worshippers, Christians do not try to choose a pleasant, entertaining god. Faithful Christians try to avoid idolatry. Worshiping any man-made gods is considered sin.
You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection of any other gods.(Exodus 20:4-5)
The statistics of religion in Japan is based on a total of 215,983,567. The total is almost double the Japanese population 127 million. Many Japanese individuals claim their double relationship with Buddhism and Shintoism.
The Shinto followers worship Buddhism. Likewise, the Buddhism followers worship Shintoism. This is like a man marrying two women. Japanese idolatry promotes a religious bigamy, which is “spiritual prostitution” from a Christian viewpoint.
Christianity is less than 0.7% in Japan, which is known as “second largest unreached group in the world.”
A majority of Japanese cannot relate to God because Shinto encourages people to bow down to man-made gods.
Shinto is the religion of idolatry, which worships any gods other than the Sovereign God.
