In 2013, when I began receiving God’s messages, my counseling work was full of interactions with evil spirits. I had to confront demonic influences during the counseling sessions.
The evil spirits made many Christian clients unable to speak (I had some 40 Christian clients at that time). Most of my clients could no longer say “Jesus Christ is the Son of God” under demonic influences, due to choking, nausea or coughing.

A middle-aged woman drew a picture of an evil spirit. She had been deceived into worshiping fake Jesus Christ. Several other clients also drew similar pictures of the devil. They had a distorted view of God because they did have a right relationship with God.
My people are being destroyed because they don’t know me. (Hosea 4:6)
Why is the influence of the evil spirits so strong? One reason was the meanings of the Japanese word used for their prayers.
The Japanese word “Kami” (神) is translated as “god” and “gods. ” In Japan, where the influence of Shinto is strong, a Christian prayer to “Kami” is often directed at Japanese gods.
In order not to pray to the Japanese gods, I changed their prayers as follows:
I pray to God who created heaven and the earth. You sent Jesus Christ to the earth for us. I pray to that God.
This new prayer seemed to distinguish between God and Japanese gods. Under demonic influences, some clients couldn’t say this prayer because their throats were squeezed. Apparently, the evil spirits did not like this prayer.
Around that time, I discovered myself being thrown into the reality of the spiritual warfare. The following Scripture touched me deep inside. I was not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies.
Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:11-12)
I had to learn how to fight against mighty powers in the dark world of Japan.
